"Trade Me In, I've Gotta Get Away from You"
We bought our 1985 Ford F150 truck with the guarantee that it could definitely pull our trailer. We have put it to the test over the last 12 years with over 500,000 miles of rough roads through Mexico, Belize and the US.

Li'l Mule pulled us out of clouds in Pueblo, Mexico, survived countless switchback roads, screamed for mercy coming out of Death Valley in 120 degree heat, crossed washed out bridges and roads only fit for 4x4's; all this and pulling our overloaded 29' trailer, too. We dubbed this hard working machine 'Li'l Mule.'
Not only has Li'l Mule endured the strains of these rough conditions, but she has also been subjected to 'Milton the Mechanic'. Now he's not your ordinary mechanic. In order for him to make any kind of repair, he calls one of my 'real' mechanic brothers, Dave or Strafford. He describes the noise she's making over the phone, and receives instructions on how to make the repair.
Rough roads and heavy loads.
Using this method, Milton has dismantled and repaired the carborater, replaced countless starters, hoses, fan belts, alternators, repaired the radiator, removed the thermostat, and adjusted the brakes. And to maintain Li'l Mule's amazing lustre, he gives her a complete bath of fresh paint with little spray cans from Home Depot. And still, Li'l Mule continues to run. But now, she's begging for mercy in this little movie saying, "Trade me in, I've gotta get away from you!"
